The shared hall bath is the one the whole family uses and nobody wants to update. This one still had a plastic tub insert, a cherry vanity, and teal paint. We remodeled it top to bottom. Here it is, before and after.
The old vanity was a dark cherry cabinet with a cultured-marble top - the kind with the sinks molded right in - under a big frameless mirror. It came out for a blue double vanity with a granite top, two undermount sinks, and matte-black faucets. Two framed mirrors and Edison-bulb sconces replace the single sheet of glass, so both sinks get their own space.
The tub was a one-piece acrylic insert with a shower curtain - fine when the house was built, dated and hard to keep clean now. In a hall bath a tub still earns its place, so we kept the tub-and-shower combo but rebuilt it: a new tub, a marble-look tile surround run floor to ceiling, and matte-black fixtures to match the vanity.
The little toilet nook got the same attention as the rest of the room. Out went the teal paint, the old toilet, and the white floor tile; in came a new toilet, light gray walls, marble-look tile carried through from the tub surround, and a matte-black towel bar. Nothing fancy - just finished to the same standard so the room reads as one project.
This bathroom was built by Anson Electrical & Remodeling, a family-owned company that has worked in Northern Virginia for 20+ years. Founder Brad Anson - a Virginia Master Electrician (License #2705178102) and Class B Builder - sets the standards the team works to, on every job, big or small.
A hall bath is a smaller job than a master suite, and it gets the same process either way: a consultation, then a written proposal with scope, timeline, and cost before any demolition started, with permits pulled by us where the work required them and a final walkthrough at the end. A named project manager ran it, and the work was done by our own licensed in-house team, not anonymous subcontractors carrying the Anson name.
We hold a 5.0 rating on Google, and a good share of our remodeling work comes from repeat customers and the neighbors they send our way.
Free consultation. Written, itemized quote within 48 hours. Big master suite or the shared bath down the hall, you get the same standards you see here - anywhere in Prince William County and Northern Virginia.
