The homeowner came to us with a kitchen she had already designed, down to a 3D rendering. We demoed the old kitchen and built the one she drew - including cabinets painted to the exact color she picked - on time and on budget.
Most kitchen projects start with our drawings. This one started with the homeowner's. She had laid out the whole room in a 3D rendering - the run of cabinets, the island, where the ovens and cooktop would go - and handed it to us as the plan. Our job was to build it exactly, and to get right the detail she cared about most: the cabinet color. We had the cabinets painted and color-matched until they were the exact shade she wanted, a soft slate blue-gray.
Working from a homeowner's own design means there is no guessing about what done looks like - the rendering is the target. We followed her layout cabinet for cabinet, and treated the color the same way: not close, but the exact shade she picked, confirmed on the painted doors before they went up.
We took the existing kitchen down to the walls and started fresh: new tile floor, new cabinet boxes set to the plan, new counters and backsplash to follow. Her rendering stayed taped to the wall the whole time, so every run lined up with what she drew.
Slate blue-gray shaker cabinets with satin-nickel pulls, marble-look quartz counters, and a marble arabesque mosaic backsplash. An island with a gas cooktop anchors the room; a built-in double wall oven and a full run of uppers handle storage and the work zones, and under-cabinet lighting keeps the counters bright. It is the kitchen from her rendering, built in her home.
A short video walk-through of the finished kitchen.
This kitchen was built by Anson Electrical & Remodeling, a family-owned company that has worked in Northern Virginia for 20+ years. Founder Brad Anson - a Virginia Master Electrician (License #2705178102) and Class B Builder - sets the standards the team works to, on every job, big or small.
The job ran the way all of ours do: a consultation, then a written proposal with scope, timeline, and cost before the first cabinet came out, with permits pulled by us where the work required them and a final walkthrough at the end. A named project manager ran it, and the work was done by our own licensed in-house team, not anonymous subcontractors carrying the Anson name.
She got the kitchen she designed - on time and on budget. We hold a 5.0 rating on Google, and a good share of our remodeling work comes from repeat customers and the neighbors they send our way.
